Infrared thermography is a Non-destructive and Non-invasive inspection method. Without touching the surface to be inspected we can map the body temperature, thus clearly highlighting abnormal temperature differences, which cause will be further determinated by the surveyor.
By means of infrared thermography we can inspect wooden or composite hulls (both fibreglass and carbon), gel coated or teak-laid decks, electrical and mechanical system, such as engines, motors, pumps, batteries.
This method allows us to rapidly find an issue, which will be further investigated by other means.
Yacht Surveyor Massimiliano Panessa holds a Level 2 Thermography Certificate, issued by Bureau Veritas.
